CBD as an Anti-Inflammatory

Life in a fast paced world can be hard on your body. We all try hard to take good care of ourselves, but sometimes the stressors of everyday life- like too little sleep, poor diet, and old injuries can build up and cause inflammation in our bodies. If you’ve been burning the candle at both ends, CBD oil might be the right remedy for you!

Cannabidiol (CBD), is the non-psychotropic cannabinoid component of marijuana (Cannabis sativa), has potent immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory properties.
According to a 2013 review published in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, CBD was shown to possess anti-inflammatiry properties that combat inflammatory disorders.
One study showed that cannabidiol has anti-inflammatory effects in mice with acute lung injury (see more at ). Another study showed CBD also had anti-inflammatory effects in mice with acute pancreatitis.
Yet another study reported that when CBD was injected into the spinal canal, it and its modified derivatives significantly suppressed chronic inflammatory and neuropathic pain without causing apparent pain tolerance in rodents.
The research on CBD is showing some promising results with lots of potential for us all. CBD oil may just be the next best thing to help us stay healthy and keep up with our busy lives by supporting us with it’s anti-inflammatory properties.
